Al began his optical career in 1977. He has held a number of management, sales and technical positions in his 30 plus years in the Industry. He is well known for his work as a facilitator and instructor for the Essilor Laboratory University training program. He was also responsible for their Lens Testing Facility where he oversaw the evaluation of new products, technologies, materials and practical processing methods to develop procedures for customers.
Al’s extensive processing knowledge and training ability is of great benefit to PSI customers. Although he is responsible for overseeing PSI’s sales and technical service, he still finds time to visit customers and help establish processing procedures that reduce breakage and improve the labs overall profitability.
Al is ABO certified and has lectured extensively for the OLA and Professional Opticians Associations as well as his speaking nationally for various industry groups.
