Central Slurry Systems are used for glass or plastic polish and glass fining emeries. The central slurry system consolidates slurry for multiple cylinder machines into one tank making slurry management much easier to control. Slurry is pumped out of the central slurry tank to the polishing heads. A return line collects the used slurry and brings it back to the central slurry machine. The used slurry is drained through a screen and/or filter to remove any lens or pad particles contaminating the slurry. In the tank it is chilled and pumped back out to the cylinder machines. The cone shape of the slurry tank, along with the pull of the pump, keeps the Baume levels up. Because the pump pulls the slurry from the bottom of the tank, there is no waste. |
