In 1971 PSI introduced the first aluminum lap to the optical industry. Our Aluma Lap revolutionized the industry and set the standard for lightweight
laps that are easy to machine. PSI is still setting standards by making sure all our laps are made with only the highest quality materials and undergo quality assurance checks to insure you get the perfect lap for the perfect Rx.
PSI laps are available semi-finished and finished. Finished lap sizes are 1.75", 2.00", 2.25", 2.50", 3.00", 3.25" and 3.50" round. PSI will cut curves from -8.00 to Plano to +20.00 diopters. Cylinder curves over 4.00 are available at additional cost. All tools can be cut to any index of refraction or increment. Turnaround times are minimal.
